The Center for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience (CTCN) invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in collaboration with a network of experimental collaborators at UT Austin. Research at CTNC broadly aims at developing new theoretical approaches to better understand how the brain computes. Candidates with a background in nonlinear dynamics, statistical physics, machine learning, or information theory are particularly welcome.
Applicants should have a PhD in mathematics, physics, neuroscience, or computer sciences and must display a significant ability to contribute to interdisciplinary research efforts in related computational fields. Ideally, postdoctoral researchers are expected to collaborate in research under the supervision of one or more core faculty members.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a brief description of research interests, and should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent. All application materials should be uploaded to the CTCN website. Inquiries may be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Salary will be commensurate to the candidate qualifications.
UT Austin is an equal employment opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, ancestry, or national or ethnic origin.
